MORALITY TEN COMMANDMENTS PROJECT

GOAL: There are two parts to this project.

PART I:  We will be creating a book for each of the Options students on the Ten Commandments. Each person in each class will create at least 3 pages devoted to explaining one of the Ten Commandments.  Each book will contain a dedication page to one of the Options students. Students will draw the commandment and the student whose book it will go in by pulling a paper from box.  Students may exchange their commandment with classmate.  Students must register their commandment with me.

ASSIGNMENT:  Each person will produce a minimum of three pages on the Ten Commandment selected.  You must: 

Explain what the Commandment means

·         Explain how to live the commandment as a student in 2012 America

·         Illustrate the pages

·         Laminate the pages of the final copy

REQUIREMENTS: Each set of pages must contain correct spelling and grammar.  The print must be large, easily readable and written in simple language on a first to third grade reading level.

 PART II: This a group activity: all the people in the class who are doing the same Commandment will make a presentation as a group to the class on your commandment and how to put it in to practice. Groups will create short power points to explain their Commandment.

 BIBLIOGRAPHY: A separate bibliography showing all sources used including art downloaded from the internet using the MLA style.

 DUE DATES:   5/7: Rough Draft of pages for the book

                          5/17: Final Rough Draft due

                         5/24: Final  Draft of pages, pages laminated

                         5/15: Group Presentations

                         5/23: final, laminated copy due
